I would suggest that this is one of the easiest and best scripts for 4th and 5th grade beginners. This year, I started teaching 4th grade in addition to 5th and 6th, and I am having success with this script with the younger (beginner) students. Also, The number of readers can be adapted to different class sizes. My 4th grade is made up of 16 students and 3 of them would like to be la "Cigale", so we'll have three readers for that part. They will read in unison.
